Exhibition "Achizitii și donatii, 2018-2020"

The exhibition, organized in the context of events dedicated to the European Heritage Days, will feature a series of works that have replenished the collections of the National Art Museum of Moldova in 2018-2020.

The visitors will have the opportunity to admire the valuable works of painting, graphics, sculpture and crafts, created during the period 1947-2019. The works are presented by such famous artists as Camil Ressu, Valentina Rusu – Ciobanu, Gheorghe Iuster, Olga Orlova, Ludmila Toncev, Marin Gherasim, Elena Bontea, Sergiu Cuciuc, Timotei Batranu, Mircea Roman, Tudor Cataraga, Ștefan Caltia, Mihai Tarus, Dimitrie Peicev, Gabriela Culic, Ion Sfecla, Elisabeth Ivanovsky, Emil Childescu, Gheorghe Lungu, Florin Ciubotaru, Mihai Panfil, Nicolae Cotofan, etc., as well as representatives of the younger generation, such as Razvan-Constantin Caratanase, Lucian Hrisav, Doris Dittrich, Ileana Stefanescu, Dionis-Octavian Puscuta and others.

Most of the works were added to the museum collections as a result of acquisitions made by the Commission for the Appraisal and Procurement of Works of Art of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.

Four of the featured works were awarded at Saloanele Moldovei contest, and five of them were awarded at the International Biennale of Painting 2019, which took place in Chisinau.

Among the works presented, seventeen are donations from authors or benefactors, and one of the most important is the Portrait of the Actress Corina Constantinescu, painted by the famous Romanian artist Camil Ressu.

During the opening ceremony, the trophee Art Museum will be awarded.
