Sergiu Galben is one of the most important names in Moldovan art. He gained fame due to his participation in numerous republican and international exhibitions. In his work, in an original way, he reflects the fundamentals of Moldovan art of the second half of the last century, emphasizing the poetic component and colour saturation.
Sergiu Galben was born on May 1, 1942 in the Soroca district, studied at the Republican School of Fine Arts in Chisinau. Since 1970 he has been participating in various local and international exhibitions. In 1972 he became a full member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Moldova. During his life, he also worked as an art teacher at the Art School Sciusev in Chisinau.
Currently, Sergiu Galben's works can be found in various museums and art galleries in the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Austria, Turkey, Canada, France, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria.
During the grand opening of the exhibition, there will take place a presentation of the art album of Sergiu Galben - author Ludmila Toma, Doctor in Art History.
