On may 5, at Colina Pushkin Square in Chisinau, there was installed the Monument for a Community Dog, created by the Czech artist Martin Zet, together with Architecture Laboratory MIEZ  representatives: Ina Borozan and Andrei Vatamaniuc.

The artwork was conceived as a critical message directed towards our anthropocentric society, from which resulted its aesthetic form of a head of a dog that is stepped on a plinth, in a similar fashion to the monuments dedicated to renowned people. The Monument itself aims to sensitize people on the issue of street animals and also to change our perception of the animal itself – as beings that are just like us. Here is a photoreport made by Madein.md team at the event.
