The First Atlas Containing Information on all Ecologically Certified Producers was Launched in Moldova

For the first time in the Republic of Moldova, there was launched an atlas of ecological agriculture - an electronic map containing all ecologically certified agricultural producers. The atlas is available online at this link.

It contains information about each producer, about plantations area, about the crops they grow and about the organ that issued the eco certificate. It also publishes data on processors and producers of processed ecological products. The atlas will be updated annually.

At present, in Moldova, 151 agricultural producers have certificates of ecological origin for about 50 crops. The area of ​​ecological crops occupies about 26 thousand hectares.

The Atlas was developed by the Public Association "Ecovisio" with the support of the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
