The Last Edition of Fruits Route this Year has been Filled with Quinces Scent. PHOTO
In the quince orchard in Jora de Mijloc our group managed to buy 60 kilos of quince of local varieties: aurie, codreanca and zarea.
In the spring of 2016, in order to promote the consumption of local agricultural products, Madein.md project launched the campaign called "Fruit Route". During the last months we organized about ten visits to various farms in the country in which the participants were able to discover the variety of Moldovan agricultural crops, as well as to gather fruits and berries directly from the orchards and gardens.
On October 18, we completed the series of trips as part of the Fruits Route campaign by visiting the quince orchard in the village Jora de Mijloc, Orhei, which belongs to the peasant farm "Parascovia Cucu Ion". This time we weren’t so numerous, but neither the cold from outside nor the dirt from orchard could not stop us enjoy the delicious fruits and gather quinces in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Gheorghe Cucu, which administrates this farm, told us many interesting things about his business, was very responsive and friendly, while our group of visitors bought about 60 kilograms of quince of local varieties: aurie, codreanca and zarea.
In addition, visitors were in for a surprise: a unique opportunity to buy prunes and cancers at attractive price.
This year’s editions of Fruits Route have ended, but we will certainly continue this campaign in 2017 with new visits, new discoveries and new sweet sensations. Here is a photo report made by Madein.md team at the last visit.
