Prograin Organic company was recently certified to market packaged corn, wheat and spelt flour as an ecological product. The company representatives told agrobiznes.md that this year, due to drought, the harvest is quite low, however the company seeks to process the flour and make it available to consumers in the form of finished certified product. Currently, there are offered three types of flour and in the near future there will be available: peas, beans and sunflower seeds, also ecologically certified.
Products can be bought online or at EcoLocal market. In the near future, the flour will abe sold in the country's supermarkets.
Prograin Organic LLC was founded in 2015 and works with several farmers in Moldova, providing services of ecological certification. The company has a grain processing terminal in Floresti with an area of about 2700 m² and a terminal in the free economic zone of the international port of Giurgiulesti with an area of 3250 m². Both terminals are intended for processing, packing and storing of ecological crops.
The company promotes the following products: wheat, spelt, oats, sunflower, corn, sorghum, mustard, green peas, soybeans, rye, chickpeas, lentils, beans, pumpkin, alfalfa and buckwheat.
