For the first time, the Black Sea Winemaking Forum organizes a Vernissage of Moldovan Wines in Moscow, Russia, on February 9. The goal of the event is to popularize Moldovan wine-making products, the quality of which is “proven by the leading international and Russian competitions and expert opinions”.
Representatives of Black Sea Winemaking Forum believe that there are many new brands of dry wines, unfamiliar not only to Russian consumers, but to many industry experts as well. Of particular interest to professionals and amateurs are the wines made from Moldovan local varieties. The vernissage will gather well-known Moldovan companies that are already operating on the Russian market, as well as new brands.
During the event, there will be organized a tasting of Moldovan wines; companies presentations and workshops; reception-tastings for buyers, distributors, importers, retailers, restaurateurs interested in purchasing Moldovan wines and divins, as well as for wine experts and journalists. There will also take place a round table “Prospects for the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Moldova in the wine-making sector”; a consumer tasting competition "Customer Choice", in which wines and divins will be judged by visitors in five categories: "Best White Wine", "Best Red Wine", "Best Rose Wine", "Best Sparkling Wine" and "Best Divin".
