The National Office of Vine and Wine will launch the catalog “Golden Wines of the Republic of Moldova”. This initiative is the result of an impressive amount of gold medals - 190 received by Moldovan winemakers at 28 international competitions, as well as 300 other silver and bronze medals and awards. The catalog will be presented on April 18 at the XVI-th edition of the Wine Vernissage, where visitors will have the opportunity get acquainted with 108 wines that glorified our country abroad.
In this regard, Gheorghe Arpentin, director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, said that last year we break a record: Moldovan wines were awarded approximately 500 medals and awards in competitions around the world. This catalog was conceived as a confirmation of efforts undertaken by key industry players, culminating in new-generation wines, whose quality is increasingly valued on foreign markets.
The presence of Moldovan producers in international competitions and exhibitions was possible due to the support of the National Office of Vine and Wine and its strategic partner - Moldova Competitiveness Project, funded by USAID and the Government of Sweden. 40 Moldovan wine-making companies were able to provide samples of their wines, sparkling wines and divines and received maximum product quality ratings from foreign jury.
