I prefer to buy bread only in shops that bake it instantly; in such cases it is more fresh and safe.

What is the last domestic product you bought?

Almost all alimentary products, especially now in the summer.

What Moldovan product would you recommend to a foreigner?

Our fruits and vegetables. And obviously the wine. But, of course, not all of them.

Do you prefer moldovan fruits and vegetables or imported ones?

Moldovan, of course. But there are fruits that do not grow in our country, such as citrus fruits, and in this case there we have no choice.

How would you asses the quality of moldovan products in comparison to foreign ones? What are your objections towards local products?

It depends on the type of the product. I personally do not like our dairy products, especially milk and sour cream. I do not like their smell, the quality. I do not like the fact that in our stores they sell sour cream and sour cream based product and many consumers are misled. They simply are not sufficiently informed, a task that belong to the manufacturers. I also have objections towards our butter. You can keep it in the refrigerator for a week, and he’ll still remain quite soft. I prefer to buy bread only in shops that bake it instantly, in such cases it is more fresh and safe.

It's very nice when you go to European stores and find there something that reminds you of home.

What Moldovan products have you seen during your visits to other countries?

First of all Moldovan wines. Even recently in Otopeni airport, I was looking for a bottle of Moldovan wine and found Purcari. It was quite expensive.

Where do you think Moldova should export its products?

To the most suitable markets. What are these markets, the experts should know better. Of course, I would like to see our products in Western Europe. It's very nice when you go to European stores and find there something that reminds you of home.

Do you like Moldovan confectionary products?

It depends on the situation. This year, I discovered a few small producers, whose products were really tasteful. But in many cases I buy a foreign chocolate or candies, which are time-tested and do not contain soy paste instead of chocolate.

Do you visit the fairs and exhibitions organized in Moldova?

In recent years, almost none. I do not like how they are organized. From my point of view, there is too much noise, and it reminds me of the central market. Or, at the specialized exhibition you expect a different level of products presentation.

What is your favorite Moldovan wine?

There are a lot of great wines. But I especially prefer Etcetera.
