We got used to the opinion that all that is produced abroad is better and ignore the fact that we have local professionals that can create a variety of quality items.

What is the last domestic product you bought?

The last domestic product I consumed was a red wine from Purcari.

Which domestic products do you use on a regular basis?

If we talk about alimentary products, I consume on regular basis local juices and rarely resort to foreign ones.

When I'm in Chisinau, I often buy Moldovan milk products, although I like Ukrainian as well.

If we talk about other goods made in Moldova, I wear local shoes and cotton dresses, which I really like, and I recently bought my husband a jacket from Ionel. I would like us to trust the quality of locally made products - it would be a good incentive for domestic producers. But we got used to the opinion that all that is produced abroad is better and ignore the fact that we have local professionals that can create a variety of quality items.

Where do you prefer to do your shopping?

I rarely go to the marketplace; I prefer the comfort of shops. I love to walk with the cart through a store and select the items I need. I prefer to shop quality products, although not all local supermarkets satisfy my requirements.

How would you rate the quality of local alimentary products compared to imported ones?

Our pasta is usually of poor quality, and I buy Italian one. I love natural, ecological tea and I buy it regularly in our pharmacies, I think it contains less Es. Moldovan fruits I believe are the most natural and tasty, although, unfortunately, our watermelons recently became dangerous for the consumers.

In your opinion, what products are the most representative for our country?

I am very pleased that our designers present their clothing collections abroad. I rejoice when I hear that young designers from Moldova are trying to promote their works in cities like Paris or Milan. The fact that we have professionals with desire to grow evolve gives us hope for tomorrow. However, everyone knows that wine is still the most representative product for Moldova.

I attend local festivals and often admire the works of our folk artists, I believe these are very skilled and have magical hands.

Do you visit the fairs and exhibitions organized in Moldova? Do you keep up with the apparition of new local producers or Moldovan brands?

I attend local festivals and often admire the works of our folk artists, I believe these are very skilled and have magical hands. I like to visit the fairs where they sell Ia and traditional Moldovan dresses, because lately national clothing restored its identity and became fashionable. Recently I received as a present a very stylish handmade purse and I also love the handmade jewelry that is made in Moldova.

What do foreigners say about our products?

Do you still make mamaliga ? A Russian whom I met in Croatia asked me this question. Apparently he tasted and enjoyed mamaliga with tocanitza when he was in Moldova. As you see gastronomic products are also representative for our country.
