Moldova and China signed recently an economic cooperation agreement. The Chinese official Pingping Pan said at the signature ceremony that China's largest wine importing company, Grand Echo, has been brought to Moldova on the invitation of Moldova’s Lion Gri company. It is a group summing up 72 Chinese dealers and managers, Infotag news agency reports.
"We want to learn on the site more about Moldova's winemaking industry, to see how grapes are grown here, where wines are made and bottled that afterwards appear on the Chinese market", Pingping Pan said. According to the Chinese official, Lion Gri is a top supplier of Moldovan wines on the Chinese market. He said that the brands coming from Moldova are welcomed by Chinese consumers.
The Moldovan side assured the Chinese representatives that the Moldovan Chamber for Commerce and Industry will be rendering to Chinese companies all necessary assistance in establishing their businesses here, especially what concerns the imports of Moldovan wines and other alcoholic products.
According to Infotag, Lion Gri Company runs five primary-winemaking plants. It reached its production and sale maximum in 2012. It then exported 25 million bottles of wine.
